Managing your Clients and Items libraries

Two lightweight libraries drive most of the speed in Billune — Clients (people/companies you invoice) and Items (services or products you sell). Save each once, reuse everywhere.

  1. 01

    Add your first client

Sidebar → Clients+ New client. Fill in name (required) plus email, company, phone, address, country, and tax ID. Tax ID gets rendered on the invoice PDF automatically for VAT/GST jurisdictions.

  2. 02

    Add reusable services (Items)

Sidebar → Items+ New item. Give it a name (e.g. "Senior consulting hour"), description, unit price, currency, and a unit label ("hour", "month", "day"). Perfect for retainers or fixed-scope deliverables.

  3. 03

    Use them in an invoice

In the builder, the Client dropdown lists everyone you've saved — one click fills the whole snapshot. Next to line items, the From library dropdown adds any saved item as a new line, pricing filled in.

  4. 04

    Bulk-import from other tools

In Settings, use Bulk Import to upload a CSV or XLSX exported from Xero, Wave, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, or HubSpot. Column headers auto-map — you don't have to reshape the file.

  5. 05

    Bulk export for backup

The same page has Export all clients / items as a single XLSX file — useful before you make major edits, or to hand off to your accountant.
